Abstract
This study tries to examine the correlation between communities, association activities and city development, based on a case study in Viby Sjælland in Roskilde Municipality. Roskilde
Municipality has planned an extensive expansion of Viby Sjælland over the next number of years, and in correlation to this it has been found relevant to examine how the existing communities and associations in the city are contributing to and influencing this process and the identity that exists within the city.
